🔶 Trump to reduce U.S. military drills with South Korea

Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has announced that his country’s military exercises with South Korea, a long-time ally of the United States, will be reduced “significantly.”

Trump wrote on the Truth Social network that the joint exercises “are not only expensive, and the United States pays a large share of these costs (as always!),” but also that these military drills are “completely disproportionate and hostile” toward North Korea.

The U.S. president emphasized that during his presidency, North Korea has behaved “non-threatening and respectfully.” He pointed to his “very good” relationship with Kim Jong Un, the North Korean dictator, and said that he is “not pleased” with the fact that “a long time ago, the United States agreed to participate in joint military exercises with South Korea.”
