The Wall Street Journal reported that new signs suggest that the armies of the United States and Israel are preparing for a possible wave of attacks against the Islamic Republic in order to bring Tehran to the negotiating table.

The outlet, citing informed sources, wrote that the United States has informed several Arab countries on the shores of the Persian Gulf through diplomatic and military channels that they should be prepared for the possibility of the start of a short-term and intense military operation after the U.S. midterm elections.

According to the report, the U.S. Army is transferring a Patriot system from Texas to the region to strengthen its missile-defense capability. In addition, as part of preparation for a possible escalation of hostilities, American forces have left bases that were vulnerable to attacks.

According to some informed officials whose names have not been disclosed, American forces have replenished their ammunition stocks in the region, and bomber and fighter aircraft are also being readied to carry out attacks.
