The US government has a wrong impression and understanding of the Iranian people, Tehran’s Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali said.

“Our people always stand their ground and don’t doubt for a second when it comes to defending their land. More than 33 million Iranians have officially registered to take part in the country’s defense, and they are ready to resist any new act of aggression," he noted, addressing a conference on security issues in Central Asia and Afghanistan involving the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
