The United States imposed new sanctions against Mahan Air’s support network

The U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned six individuals and entities in China, India, Russia, and Iran, accusing them of supporting Mahan Air. Washington claims that Mahan Air, as one of the main arms of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, plays a role in the transportation of forces, weapons, military equipment, and items related to drones.

One of the sanctioned entities is “Startup Data Studio,” which the U.S. Treasury Department describes as a front company affiliated with the IRGC. The department alleges that the company collected information about the locations of U.S. and Israeli equipment and received requests for attacks on U.S. targets in the Middle East to support Iran-focused targeting operations.
