The third round of talks between the Venezuelan government and the 2015 National Assembly opposition group has ended in Caracas.

The third round’s agenda centered around issues of strengthening democracy and the judicial authority, the freedom of speech, the right for information, as well as measures to eliminate the consequences of the earthquake, parliament speaker Jorge Rodriguez, who led the government delegation, told Venezolana de Television.

The delegations once again called on the UK authorities to urgently return Venezuela’s reserve assets held at the Bank of England. The Venezuelan government intends to use these funds to meet the needs of the population affected by the June 24 earthquake.
