The state killing of Mahsa Amini in Shahrivar 1401 transformed the role of the Iranian diaspora. After the start of the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement, Iranians abroad became more visibly involved in gatherings, media activities, and diplomatic efforts to amplify the voices of protesters inside Iran.

On the fourth anniversary of this movement, we have looked at how the roles and methods of activism of the Iranian diaspora have changed.
