🔸As clashes between the Houthis of Yemen and Saudi Arabia intensify, China has said it wants the parties to exercise restraint, engage in dialogue, and prevent tensions from spreading to the Red Sea. At the same time, reports have been published indicating that Beijing, privately, has asked Tehran to work to curb the Houthis’ attacks on Saudi Arabia. On the other side, the release of unverified images showing what may be remnants of a missile made in China in Yemen has raised new questions about the route for the transfer of Chinese weapons to Middle Eastern conflicts.
