The Israeli Embassy in Moscow told TASS that the incident involving a Flydubai flight that made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia may have been an attempted terrorist attack.

The embassy said that the incident aboard the Flydubai flight traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv appeared to have been an attempted jihadist terrorist attack targeting Israel, the United Arab Emirates and the idea embodied in the Abraham Accords.

According to preliminary information, the pilot intended to crash the aircraft with passengers on board, putting the lives of all civilians aboard at risk and posing a serious threat to civil aviation security.
