🔻The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran has warned that any new attack on Iran will be met with a “painful and destructive” response.

The warning was issued in a statement on the occasion of the third anniversary of Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attack on Israel. The IRGC said in the statement that Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel three years ago was the beginning of the “end of Zionism.” The statement said the attack “destroyed the myth of the invincibility” of the Israeli army and changed the region’s strategic equations in favor of the “axis of resistance.”

The IRGC said in the statement that the recent operations of the Islamic Republic of Iran and its allies delivered “fatal blows” to Israel and the United States, adding that in successive wars with Iran, the United States has been unable to achieve its goals.

The IRGC also said that Israel is facing “collapse” economically, politically, and internationally, and that the United States—especially after the closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iran and what the IRGC called the “decisive management” of the strait—has been confronted with serious challenges.

In its statement, the IRGC said the “axis of resistance,” meaning Iran’s network of allied paramilitary groups in the region, “remains united and powerful,” and emphasized that it will continue its struggle until the “complete destruction” of Israel and the liberation of Palestine.
