🔻The IRGC Navy says an “advanced ZEPAD” of the U.S. Army was lured in with “intelligence oversight and electronic warfare”. In a statement by the IRGC Navy, it says this unmanned, remotely guided submarine is “one of the smart and advanced undersea vessels named Rimos 600” and is now provided to specialists for “information recovery.” The IRGC also released a video showing a vessel and pulling it out of the water, and in its statement emphasized that “the Strait of Hormuz is blocked.” On Shahrivar 17, the IRGC had also reported “capturing” a U.S. ZEPAD. At the time, CENTCOM confirmed the report, saying that during patrol in the waters of the region, this ZEPAD “had experienced a technical malfunction.” The CENTCOM spokesperson had said: “This was an older model that neither gathered sensitive information nor carried radar equipment or classified sensors.” However, the IRGC said that this ZEPAD was “active” and “in operation.”
