Syrian and Lebanese sources reported the entry of Israeli forces into southern Syria and fresh attacks in Lebanon. The Israeli army also announced that it killed two Hamas members in two separate strikes in Gaza.
The Syrian state news agency SANA reported that Israeli forces entered the village of Brehah near the Israel border. Local sources also said that an Israeli patrol entered Ras al-Ajraf and that several houses were searched. The Syrian Al-Akhbariya also said that Israel fired two artillery shells toward the vicinity of Beit Jinn in western Damascus.
At the same time, the Israeli army said that Bilal Ibrahim Salih Raqa’i, a commander in Hamas’s anti-tank unit, in northern Gaza, and Azam Rifaat Abd Abadallah, a member of the Khan Yunis Brigade, in southern Gaza, were killed. Israel accused the two of attempting to rebuild Hamas’s military capabilities and plan attacks.
In Lebanon as well, media outlets reported Israeli artillery and airstrikes on areas in Nabatieh and Sidon. In the reports published, no mention was made of casualties or possible damage from the strikes in Syria and Lebanon.
