Fighters from the Dovdovan unit detained a terrorist affiliated with Islamic Jihad in Palestine who was a member of the “Lair of Lions” terrorist cell; that cell had previously been dismantled.

Fighters from the Dovdovan unit, under the guidance of Israel’s Internal Security Organization (Shin Bet), carried out activities in the Nablus-area town of Qasbah last night (Monday) to carry out an anti-terrorism operation in the area under the command of the Samara Brigade.

As part of this operation, the fighters detained a terrorist affiliated with Islamic Jihad in Palestine who was acting in furtherance of terrorist activities. The terrorist was also a member of the “Lair of Lions” terrorist cell, which had previously been dismantled by security forces.

Israeli Army forces will continue their efforts to neutralize terrorism and maintain security in the Judaea and Samaria region.
