🔻The spokesperson for Iran’s Parliament Energy Commission says that currently the amount of gasoline production in the country is about “132 million liters per day.”

Reza Sipehوند said that under current conditions daily gasoline consumption “is more than 137 million liters,” and by the last days of Shahrivar this figure will also reach more than “140 million liters.”

He also said that to compensate for this shortfall, we are currently using “gasoline reserves,” which has also been done in previous years in order to get through the high-consumption days of Shahrivar.

Masoud Pezeshkian, the president of Iran, also attributed the problems with supplying gasoline to wartime conditions and the country’s reduced revenues, and said that because import routes are closed, the entry into the country of goods including gasoline has faced difficulties.

In recent days, videos of long queues for gasoline and the closure of some stations—especially in Tehran—have been published.
