Several tankers have struck naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz, the Fars news agency reported citing military sources.

The sources said that "several powerful explosions occurred in the southern passage of the Strait of Hormuz, caused by non-compliant tankers colliding with naval mines deployed in the area."
