Chuck Schumer, leader of the Democrats in the Senate, said that some Republican senators will support ending the war with Iran as quickly as possible.

He added: “We will end the war, and the Democrats, if necessary, will use the ‘budget authority’ to cut funding for the Department of War and end the war quickly.”

Four Republican senators previously supported, along with the Democrats, moving forward with a resolution calling for the withdrawal of U.S. forces from the conflict with Iran in the absence of a congressional authorization.
