Reuters: Three sources familiar with the matter said that Iran is expected to receive, within the next few weeks, the first shipment of 400 launcher systems for shoulder-fired air defense made in China. The country is rebuilding its defenses amid its war with the United States.

The purchase, worth between $60 million and $70 million, is one of the largest known efforts by Tehran to strengthen its short-range air defenses since the start of the war with the United States and Israel.

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “The related reports are completely baseless. China has consistently played a role in promoting peace and ending the conflict.”
