🔻Press conference by Iraqchi and Lavrov

Abbas Iraqchi and Sergei Lavrov participated in a joint press conference after their meeting in Tehran.

Iraqchi said the two countries agree that the issues in the Middle East have no military solution.

He blamed the United States, war with Iran, and the imposition of a maritime blockade for insecurity in the region.

He said he discussed with Mr. Lavrov the conditions in the occupied territories and the status of the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf.

Iraqchi expressed deep concern about attacks on Iranian and Russian ships in the Caspian Sea and port facilities in that sea.

Iran’s foreign minister said that Mr. Lavrov would have high-level talks with Masoud Pezeshkian within the next few hours.
