🔻 Pezeshkian meets South Africa’s president in India

Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, met with Cyril Ramaphosa, the President of South Africa, on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in India.

Mr. Pezeshkian traveled to India on Friday to take part in the 18th summit of the heads of state of the BRICS member countries, where he met with various heads of state, including Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, and Khaled bin Mohamed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates.

Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, is accompanying the Iranian president on this trip.

The two-day BRICS summit ends today.

Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin, the Presidents of China and Russia, have left New Delhi, but Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and Faisal bin Farhan, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, arrived in India today.
