🔻IRGC warning about U.S. warships getting closer to the Strait of Hormuz
Ali Mohammadi, the political deputy of the IRGC Navy, referring to remarks by Donald Trump, the U.S. president, who said that the Strait of Hormuz is under his control, said: “If that’s the case, then bismillah. Bring one of your ships within 100 kilometers.”
The senior IRGC official said: “The Americans know that if their vessels get close, they will face a response from the Iranian fighters,” and without citing details, claimed that “a similar example also happened in the past few days.”
Speaking at a night rally of supporters of the government in Mashhad, he said: “Today ... in the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman, and the Strait of Hormuz there are no American soldiers present and no American equipment is deployed in these areas. If Americans move closer to the prohibited area, they themselves know what will await them.”
According to him, “Every vessel that moves from the direction of Kuwait and Bahrain is, without exception, under surveillance by the naval fighters of the IRGC and, if a violation is confirmed, it will be dealt with in accordance with regulations.”
