The spokesperson of Iran’s Majlis (Parliament) Construction Commission announced the overall approval of a bill titled «Strategic action to ensure security and progress for the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf».
Abdoljalal Ayyari said that the details of this bill are expected to be reviewed next, and then submitted to the Majlis plenary.
Yesterday, Hassan Qashqavi, the spokesperson of Iran’s Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, also reported the approval of the overall framework of the bill on strategic action for ensuring security and progress in the Strait of Hormuz in that commission.
In 2019, the Majlis had also passed the «Strategic Action Law to Lift Sanctions and Safeguard the Interests of the Iranian Nation» in relation to the JCPOA nuclear agreement, which the government of Hassan Rouhani had called an interference in the affairs of the executive branch.
