Oil prices in global markets showed a slight decline at the beginning of Monday’s trading day.

Brent crude oil from the North Sea fell below $110 in the morning market on Monday and was traded at around $109.70.

The decline occurred alongside continued mediation between Iran and the United States via Qatar, although the targeting of a liquefied gas-carrying ship from Qatar on Sunday and another oil tanker in the early hours of Monday have continued to keep the global energy market unsettled—only one day before the U.S. congressional midterm elections.
