🔸Nearly a month after the arrest of two graphic designers following their meeting with individuals associated with the French Embassy in Tehran, their friends and relatives, in a statement, called for the “public” release of details of their charges and “the possibility of defense by an independent lawyer.”

🔸Previously, Hambood, the independent center of artists and activists, had reported that Iran’s Islamic Republic security forces arrested Arya Kasayi, a prominent graphic designer and founder of the “Karxaneh” studio, in Tehran on July 19.

🔸At the same time, it was also reported that Elahe Naqi-lo, a graphic designer and a collaborator of Arya Kasayi, had also been arrested, and that her family and close associates have been unaware of her condition for more than 10 days.

🔸So far, the judicial and security officials of the Islamic Republic have not provided any information about the arrest of these two artists, their alleged charges, or their place of detention.

🔸Now, their friends and relatives, in a statement provided to Radio Farda, say that “we will not allow the silence imposed on them to be the only account of this matter.”
