👈 Nasser al-Din al-Daghir, Al Jazeera journalist in Tehran: Lavrov’s visit, Assem Nair and the Qatari delegation to Tehran may not necessarily mean achieving progress, but rather it more clearly indicates the continuation of the diplomatic path.
This issue shows that the two sides—Washington and Tehran—have not shown much response to each other’s proposals; however, the political options of the sides have not yet been exhausted, and Iran may still be considering proposals that reach it through intermediaries.
The current state of the negotiations could tip the balance in favor of a heavier war and steer the course of developments toward unclear scenarios. In my assessment, we may see a repetition of the 12-day war scenario; because Israel tends to carry out a military action against Iran, while the United States is cautious about getting drawn into a war with unknown results.
