Moscow’s proposal to relocate the UN headquarters to Sochi remains on the table, considering numerous violations committed by the United States as the current host country of the headquarters, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s International Organizations Department Director Kirill Logvinov said in an interview with TASS.

Although relocating the UN headquarters from the United States to another country is theoretically possible, with “well-known grievances held by many member states against the United States as the host country of the world organization’s headquarters” in place, there is no realistic “prospect of such an initiative being put forward in New York at this stage,” he noted.
