Morteza Kazemian, a member of the Iran International editorial board, referring to statements by Ismail Qassevi, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, about opposition to the transfer of 60% enriched uranium to a third country, said the government’s insistence on continuing the nuclear program shows that it has no strategy to escape the crisis.
He said the Islamic Republic shows that it wants negotiations, but at the same time insists on its preconditions and threatens regional countries.
Kazemian added that the government insists on maintaining its control over Iran, even at the cost of dragging the country into a war whose cost will be paid by the people.
