Ismail Baqaii, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said the trip of Abbas Araghchi’s deputy to Doha was carried out with the aim of facilitating interactions between Tehran and Washington.

He added that, given that Qatar facilitates the exchange of messages between the Islamic Republic and the United States, Kazem Qaribabadi was also present in Doha for the same purpose.

Baqaii said: “Everything depends on whether the United States carries out Iran’s conditions, so that after that, decisions can be made regarding other matters.”

At the same time, Reuters reported that Islamic Republic negotiators left the Doha talks on Sunday, but that their departure was not due to problems arising in the negotiations.

According to this report, a draft proposal to solicit the parties’ views is currently being circulated, and there is a possibility of holding another meeting to follow up on the talks.
