Mohsen Rezai, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, said: “The great Iranian nation brought a major strategic defeat upon the battlefield, in the Strait of Hormuz, and also imposed a heavy political defeat on Trump in Washington.”

He added: “Citizens and the U.S. government personally ended up paying the huge and heavy costs of Trump’s war-mongering.”

Rezai said: “Whoever takes on the Islamic Republic of Iran will pay its heavy price from the battlefield to the threshold of their own home.”
