Mohammadreza Aref, Vice President of Pezeshkian, on Wednesday, Mehr 15, said that the economy is currently the country’s top priority and that the government is looking for a root solution to address rising prices.

Referring to the energy situation, he said that this year the country will face a shortage of at least 100 to 250 million cubic meters of gas, and added that, following attacks carried out in the war, 250 million cubic meters of the capacity of the South Pars gas field (Gas-e Asaluyeh) has been taken offline.

Aref said that at least 100 million cubic meters of this capacity is expected to be brought back online, and that the government intends, unlike last year, not to cut off industrial gas.
