🔺Meeting between President Trump and China’s president; trade, Taiwan, and pressure on Iran’s regime are on the agenda for the United States

▪ President Trump will host Xi Jinping, president of China, in Washington on Thursday, Mehr 2; a meeting that the U.S. administration hopes will lead to progress on issues ranging from trade and vital minerals to Taiwan and military confrontation with the Islamic Republic, while also cementing a commercial truce between the two major economies of the world. China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Xi will travel to the United States from Mehr 1 to 3 at the invitation of President Trump.
