Majed Al Ansari, Qatar foreign ministry spokesman, announced on Monday, 30 Shahrivar that Doha is trying to facilitate an agreement between Tehran and Washington.

Al Ansari said: “Doha is trying to facilitate an agreement between Washington and Tehran, even if this agreement is short-term, to open the way for negotiations.”

He said, while taking part in the annual “Munich Security Conference” sessions for strengthening partnerships and international development dialogue in New York, that any agreement between Washington and Tehran would not be finalized, but would be sufficient to begin negotiations.
