🔻Kimi Antonelli, the Italian Mercedes driver, secured his first World Championship title by finishing third in the Mexico City Grand Prix, becoming the youngest champion in Formula One history at the age of 20.

🔹Antonelli, who is only in his second season in Formula One, crossed the finish line behind Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton on Sunday, November 1, securing the 2026 season championship title.

🔹According to the BBC, Verstappen and Hamilton described Antonelli’s performance after the race as “incredible” and lifted him on their hands during the championship celebration.

🔹Lando Norris, the champion of the previous season, also praised the young Mercedes driver, saying: “He has gone up against the best drivers in the world, who all have very good cars, but he’s surprised everyone and has beaten them all.”

🔹In his first season, Antonelli faced criticism over his lack of experience, but this year, with five consecutive victories at the start of the season, he took control of the championship race and, by maintaining the consistency of his performance, won the title earlier than the end of the season.
