Kazem Jalali, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic in Moscow, said Ukraine has not yet paid Tehran compensation for an attack on a ship in the Caspian Sea.

According to ISNA news agency, he said talks on this matter are ongoing and Tehran has asked the Ukrainian government to pay compensation and make up for damages to people who were injured in the attack.

Jalali expressed hope that the negotiations will reach a result.

On July 24, the Ukrainian army, in long-range attacks on the Caspian Sea, targeted vessels that Kyiv said were used to transfer military cargoes linked to the Islamic Republic.

According to the official announcement of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the attacks left one person dead and one injured.
