Kayhan newspaper, which is published under the supervision of the representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, wrote in a piece titled “The solution to economic problems is effort and prudence, not an admission of weakness,” while criticizing the positions of Masoud Pezeshkian and Mohammad-Bagher Qalibaf, that: “We are witnessing thought-provoking statements by some officials—statements that transmit a signal of weakness and passivity to the enemy.”

The newspaper added that creating false and unreal dualities, including “war-negotiation” and “livelihood-missiles,” precisely completes the enemy’s puzzle and, in a sense, opens a back alley for the enemy.

Kayhan further wrote that saying, “It would be better to end the war today,” or saying, “No matter how much military power we have, if people are hungry and there is no financial circulation, we will not be able to last,” is defined in the same way.

In closing, the newspaper wrote: “If we preserve the victories on the battlefield and, instead of expressing weakness, rely on prudence, domestic effort, and indigenous capacities, we will make the enemy permanently disappointed in the effectiveness of the tools of sanctions and war. It is possible to get beyond the current conditions, but this passage will certainly be through the path of dignity and prudence—not through the path of passivity and appeasement.”
