🔸Joint U.S. and Saudi attacks on the positions of Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq left casualties and damage on Wednesday, the seventh of Mordad.
🔸The U.S. Army announced on Wednesday that U.S. and Saudi fighter jets targeted positions of Iran-backed militias in Iraq which, according to Washington, carried out more than 24 drone attacks in recent days.
🔸According to a report by Agence France-Presse, these “targeted” attacks were carried out in Baghdad, Wasit, Nineveh, Basra, Kirkuk, Karbala, and Diyala, causing material damage to facilities and military equipment of the Popular Mobilization Forces.
🔸The Popular Mobilization Forces announced on Wednesday morning that the number of killed had reached 20 and at least 32 others were also wounded in these attacks.
🔸Reuters also published on Wednesday images from the grounds of the Al-Hamdaniya General Hospital in Mosul, showing people moving the bodies of a number of those killed in the joint U.S. and Saudi attacks.
🔸According to CENTCOM, the purpose of these attacks was “Iran-aligned terrorists.”
