Johnson criticizes Trump

U.S. Senator Ron Johnson, previously regarded as a strong ally of Donald Trump, has criticized the U.S. President for telling voters to pretend his name was on the ballot in the U.S. midterms after their Republican Party was routed by the Democrats.

Johnson remarked to reporters: "President Trump did tell the electorate to pretend his name was on the ballot - apparently they took him at his word and this has been the result."
