The Israeli army announced that its forces, following an earthquake in Colombia, have so far succeeded in identifying and rescuing 17 missing people, and are still working to find and rescue more individuals. It also said they are providing technologies and tools to local authorities that will help them manage the event and carry out reconstruction.

According to a statement by the Israeli army, the delegation of “Brit Ra’am,” along with local and international rescue and relief forces, will continue operating in several key areas of destruction in the city of Cali.

The Israeli army also announced that about a week after the earthquake, and following the Colombian government’s announcement, the operation has moved into the reconstruction phase. In this phase, alongside continuing efforts to find and rescue missing persons, activities related to surveying and assessing damaged buildings will also be stepped up.
