The Islamic Republic, in protest against a statement by the European Council condemning the Iran government’s war-mongering and also violations of human rights, has summoned the ambassador of Ireland in Tehran to its Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ireland holds the rotating presidency of the European Council.
