🔸 Iraqchi: At present, we are not having any negotiations with the United States

Tasnim News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, reported on Sunday, August 9 (18 Mordad) that Abbas Araqchi, the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic, said on the sidelines of a meeting of this ministry, referring to the process of negotiations with the United States: “The intermediaries are still trying to find the ways to negotiate again.”

At the meeting, which was held at the Center for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Araqchi further claimed: “Until the violations of the memorandum of understanding by the United States are brought to an end and until the United States compensates for what it has violated, from our perspective, there is no possibility of restarting negotiations.”

The foreign minister of the Islamic Republic also, referring to bilateral talks with Oman on the agreement regarding the Strait of Hormuz and reopening the shipping route, said: “Negotiations with Oman are about determining a new sea route in the Strait of Hormuz; we are in the final stage and the old routes will be replaced with new ones. Specialists are working on the routes.”
