🔻Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence: 30 people detained on charges of ties to ‘Mossad,’ ‘armed groups,’ and the protests of Dey

Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence says 21 people have been arrested on charges of “having ties with Mossad,” and four others on charges of having ties with “armed groups.”

According to ISNA news agency, the Intelligence Department of Kerman Province has also arrested five people in connection with the protests of Dey 1404. The security institution claims that four combat weapons have been discovered and confiscated from among the detainees.

Volker Türk, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, said yesterday that as of 28 Esfand, equivalent to 19 March, at least 56 people in Iran have been executed on charges related to national security.

According to Mr. Türk, based on the officials’ official statements from Iran, the cases of 27 of the executed people were linked to the protests of Dey.

In the statement by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, it says that since the start of the war, the issuance and carrying out of death sentences in Iran has increased.

Since the start of clashes between Iran and the United States, Ebrahim Raisi’s?—Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, head of Iran’s Judiciary, has repeatedly asked prosecutors to issue and carry out “promptly” and “without leniency” sentences regarding detainees of the protests of Dey and people who have been imprisoned after the forty-day war.
