🔻Iran’s Minister of Education: School activities will be set according to the conditions of each region

In Iran, according to officials, school activities in Hormozgan province will be held in a combined manner of in-person and non-in-person, based on the conditions of each area.

According to Tasnim, Alireza Kazemi, Iran’s Minister of Education, said that the conditions of each region will be reviewed separately, and in areas where there is no risk threatening students and teaching staff, in-person education will be given priority.

Based on this report, school activities in the cities of Qeshm, Sirik, and Jask will be carried out in a combined format of in-person and online education.

Determining the days when students attend school and the days when non-in-person education will be held is the responsibility of school principals. Decisions about any possible school closures will also be made in accordance with the conditions of each region.

The Minister of Education also said: In areas facing security threats, the combined education model and the capacity of secure spaces will be used to ensure the continued in-person connection between students and teachers. Based on this report, decisions about how schools operate will be made with the participation of the governor(s) and the security-provision councils, and the final model is expected to be communicated to the entire country after the review in the coming days.

During the attacks by the United States on Iran, various areas in Hormozgan province have been targeted repeatedly. On the first day of the attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran, the Shajare Tayyebah school in Minab was hit by a missile, as a result of which at least 168 civilians were killed, mostly primary and preschool children.
