🔻Iran says it will no longer limit its response to “offending vessels” to the Strait of Hormuz.
The IRGC Navy command said in a statement: “Any vessel that crosses the unauthorized passage will be pursued throughout the region and its punishment will be definite.”
Iran says vessels must pass through the Strait of Hormuz via the route it has set.
According to reports, some vessels and tankers are using an alternative route created in recent weeks for passage and navigation through the Strait of Hormuz in order to bypass the restrictions announced by Iran.
Iran has said it will not open the Strait of Hormuz as long as the United States’ maritime blockade against the country continues. But the United States says the strait is open and that the amount of oil transiting through it has increased compared with before the war.
