🔻Iran’s foreign minister says consultations with mediators on the situation in the Strait of Hormuz have become more intensive.

Abbas Araghchi, who is in Turkmenistan, told the state news agency IRNA: «Given the sensitivity of the current conditions and the serious danger of the situation, consultations and discussions have become very intensive. Qatar and Pakistan, as mediators, have a very active role.»

Three days of Iran’s negotiations with the Qataris ended yesterday without any particular outcome, and the Iranian delegation returned to Tehran today.

Mr. Araghchi emphasized that Iran has stated its conditions and proposals, and now «everything depends on the political rationality of Washington.»

Iran’s foreign minister said that only with the acceptance of Iran’s conditions «will the Strait of Hormuz be opened and negotiations resume», and if the United States «intends deception and military operations, it will see a harsher and heavier response than in the past.»

Regarding the trip of Ali Bagheri Kani to Beijing, he said the deputy secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has held talks with Chinese officials on various issues, including «major regional discussions, security matters, and the discussion of peace and war.»

Today, China’s foreign ministry said the country’s special envoy will travel to Iran, Oman, and Saudi Arabia within the next two weeks.
