Shahid Alavi, a member of the editorial board of Iran International, said about Amnesty International’s campaign to identify those responsible for the killing of Iranians: “The world is aware enough of the crimes of the Islamic Republic, but what matters is turning this awareness into practical action. The aim of this campaign is to identify those responsible for repression, to provide the basis for holding them accountable in international courts, and to prevent the repetition of killings. The system of repression in the Islamic Republic is not limited to security institutions; from the foreign policy apparatus that justifies these crimes to the judiciary that stamps its approval on them, all have a role in this repression.”
