Iran has rejected an Omani proposal for joint management of the Strait of Hormuz, Reuters reported, citing sources.

The initiative, supported by the Gulf countries, was modeled after the transit framework through the Strait of Malacca. Tehran disagreed with an equal share of control, according to the agency.
