In recent days, many reports have been received by IranWire indicating long lines at gas stations to get the fuel consumed by people’s cars. In southern Iran, from east to west, this problem has left people struggling in the heat.

Citizens have to stay in line for hours to receive gasoline, and they also end up consuming more fuel.

“Mariam Dehkordi,” a member of the IranWire editorial team, who has written a field report about this, says in this news interview about disrupted urban networks and gas station lines that are linked to one another in cities across southern Iran. This is while Masoud Pezeshkian has announced that the government is unable to supply the gasoline needed by the people because there is no foreign currency, and that the maritime blockade of ships en route to Iran or departing from Iran has also made the situation worse.
