🔻 Houthi movement: Saudi Arabia has no choice but to accept Yemenis’ demands

The Houthi movement in Yemen, which is supported by Iran, announced one day after an attack on targets in Saudi Arabia that Riyadh “has no option other than to accept the demands of the people of Yemen.”

The Houthis have asked members of the coalition led by Saudi Arabia to take action to resolve humanitarian issues, including lifting the “siege” of Yemen.

The Saudi government, which recognizes Yemen as a state, is recognized by the international community as the official government of this country.

Officials of the Houthi movement claimed that they targeted an airport and facilities belonging to the state-owned oil company Aramco in the Najran region in southern Saudi Arabia.

The group’s military spokesperson, in a statement published on Telegram, said drone attacks were carried out in response to what it called “Saudi drone penetration into the airspace of northern Yemen.”

One month ago, the “Government of Change and Development,” under Houthi control, urged Saudi Arabia to “stop carrying out the dictates of America and the Zionists,” and emphasized that “there is no option other than to accept the demands of the people of Yemen.”

Ali Akbar Velayati, the international affairs adviser to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, previously made similar remarks and asked Saudi Arabia to stop pressuring the Houthis.
