🔶 Hezbollah Lebanon’s protest at being labeled by the United States as Iran’s “proxy force”

Hezbollah Lebanon on Friday, August 21 (30 Mordad), called the Trump administration’s decision to classify this armed group as Iran’s “proxy force” “oppressive” and said the move would not stop their continued progress on the “resistance path.”

The Trump administration on Thursday imposed new sanctions on Hezbollah, which is both a political party and an armed group in Lebanon, and once again classified it as Iran’s proxy force.

The United States also imposed new sanctions at the same time on 10 individuals accused of involvement in a cash-transfer network to Hezbollah.

A U.S. State Department official said the change in Hezbollah’s designation, which is being carried out alongside Washington’s efforts to mediate peace talks between Israel and Lebanon, is intended to show that Hezbollah carries out the instructions of the IRGC’s Quds Force.
