🔺Heightened security for Poland and the Baltic countries’ infrastructure for fear of Russia’s diversionary attacks
◾Poland and the Baltic countries have increased security for their dams, power plants, and natural gas infrastructure. The move follows growing concerns that Moscow could stage a false-flag attack on them using Ukrainian drones.
◾According to Reuters, Lithuania said last week that Moscow is considering such an attack. Poland, Latvia, and Estonia have also warned about sabotage efforts aimed at testing NATO’s response.
◾Dmitry Peskov, a Kremlin spokesman, last month described the warnings about alleged covert Russian attacks as “scary stories” that are used to justify the militarization against Russia.
