Russia’s attacks early Tuesday in the city of Zaporizhzhia in the southeast of Ukraine left five dead and 20 injured.
Local officials said Kyiv was also targeted and fires broke out in the capital.
Ivan Fedorov, governor of the Zaporizhzhia region, said Russian forces used missiles and aerial bombs against the city.
Air-raid sirens sounded in Zaporizhzhia and Kyiv. The Kyiv city military administration said that facilities in one of the central districts caught fire and one person was injured.
