🔻 Hamas asked the U.S. to put pressure on Netanyahu to adhere to the Gaza peace plan

A Hamas official told Agence France-Presse that the United States should put pressure on Israel to accept the next phase of the Gaza peace plan.

The remarks came after Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, said he had rejected the Gaza peace plan that Donald Trump, the U.S. president, had welcomed.

Basem Naim, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, told Agence France-Presse: “We expect the mediators and the United States, as guarantor of this agreement, to put pressure on Benjamin Netanyahu and his government so that they remain committed to the roadmap and do not disrupt the process of implementing it due to political considerations and domestic elections.”
